Our suppliers know by now: in Montonale we like to test them to present our wines in an increasingly convincing way.
Let's take the bottles as example: we asked our trusted glass-maker to create a unique bottle, based on our drawing, with the lettering Montonale printed on the bottom. He satisfied us.
Then we asked him the calibrated hole, with identical diameters for each single piece in order to guarantee the perfect grip of the cork. Also this time he pleased us.
We did not stop there. From now on when you lift our bottle you will notice something different: the weight is much lower.
We made a further request (for now!) to the factory that is to make the glass of our bottles as light as possible, while maintaining their strength.
Ours is not a tantrum: by reducing the weight of the bottle we cut down the emissions during the production, transport (before consumption a bottle can be trasported even 4 times) and recycling phases.
Our glasses now weigh only 500 grams, they maintain their light green colour, which protects the wine from ultraviolet rays and are made only from recycled glass. Next time you pick up one of our bottles, pay attention to its weight!
