Since 1992 the Merano Wine Festival has focused exclusively on selected fine wines in an elegant and exclusive location. It was the first wine event that realizes a sensory path with a single glass and the first ever event called Wine Festival.
Merano WineAwards, a wine competition linked to the Festival, is organized annually by The Wine Hunter Helmuth Köcher , presidente e ideatore dell’evento.
The worldwide visibility and well-established reputation of Merano WineAwards is nowadays a quality brand. A winery selected by the competition becomes a part of the wine gotha.
