Orestilla is by now one of the most famous and celebrated Cru of Lugana: vintage 2017 was awarded 90 points by Wine Spectator, the 2016 won the Decanter World Wine Awards Gold medal with 96 points, while Orestilla 2015 won the Decanter World Wine Awards Platinum Medal as Best in Show “best white single varietal wine of the world”.
Thanks to the optimal job carried out in Montonale's vineyards first, and by the Winemaker afterward, we are happy to announce that Orestilla 2018 was released today, May 11th, in a limited production of only 8000 bottles.
The vintage 2018 in Montonale was marked by a rainy springtime and a warm, sunny summer with now extremes, which allowed a perfect maturation of the grapes on the plants. A healthy phytosanitary state of the plants has been maintained throughout the growing and maturation season thanks to green harvest activities that created the perfect conditions to obtain the most qualitative grapes.
Orestilla 2018 is a wine that is rich, ample, with a great ageing potential and very expressive of its terroir.
