Lugana Orestilla 2015 of Montonale has been awarded as the best white in the world: it was established by the jury of the Decanter World Wine Awards, the most important international wine competition.
Orestilla won the Platinum Medal with 95 points and the title of "Best in Show" as the best white single-varietal and was published with an excellent review:
Beautiful nose of lime leaves, golden apples and soft aromatic herbs, the palate is rich, round custard and honeyed fruit, with apricot and almond hints, great intensity and texture, fresh acididty and great length. Great wine.
The "Best in Show" was awarded after tasting 17,200 wines from all over the world by the authoritative panel headed by Steven Spurrier.
